Abstract

This historical research paper presents an in-depth study of the various public, educational, cultural, private, labor, literary, diplomatic and academic journeys and courses that the Costa Rican jurist Angela Acuña Braun starred in throughout her life. Thus, we describe the different facets that occurred during her stays in Costa Rica, Europe, and the United States and her actions as the first woman to graduate as a high school student, bachelor, and graduate in law. She was a pioneer ambassador of Costa Rica and the main architect of the events that led to the establishment of the women’s vote in our country, episodes that have led her to be recognized as one of the most decisive women in legal history.
